Pengaruh Pendidikan, Upah Minimum, dan Kesehatan terhadap Produktivitas Tenaga Kerja di Provinsi Jawa Tengah

Abstract

Labor productivity reflects the output produced by each worker in a certain period. The higher the productivity, the more productive the workforce. Measuring labor productivity plays an important role in assessing the condition and ability of a country to achieve development goals, especially related to the quality of human resources. By understanding this, the formulation of policies and development programs in the labor sector can be done in a more targeted manner. In the theory of labor productivity, Thomas and Mathews state that education, minimum wages, and health play an important role in increasing labor productivity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of education, minimum wages, and health on labor productivity.

This study is included in the category of explanatory research and is a type of panel data research. This study applies a regression analysis approach to panel data. The method used in this study is the panel analysis method, namely combining time series with arithmetic series analysis (cross section). The results of the study show that education has a negative and significant effect on labor productivity in Central Java Province. The minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on labor productivity in Central Java Province. Health has a negative and significant effect on labor productivity in Central Java Province.
